David Manning, a long-term employee of Greek shipowner Lykiardopulo & Co and its management arm Neda Maritime Agency, has died aged 75.
Ship superintendent engineer Manning had spent the last 20 years working for the company in Japan, a place he had a deep affection for and where he was a key point person on Lykiardopulo’s newbuildings.
Manning started his marine career at sea with what was then oil company Esso, the forerunner of today's ExxonMobil.
