Norway's Klaveness Combination Carriers (KCC) weathered weak tanker markets by shifting some of its versatile fleet to dry business in the second quarter.
The Oslo-listed owner of vessels that carry both wet and dry cargoes said average time-charter equivalent (TCE) earnings increased by 20% to $20,537 per day for its 17 vessels, compared with the first three months.
The tanker market was historically weak throughout the quarter and part of the Cleanbu fleet has been used for dry bulk, KCC said.
