Owner Union Maritime has said 19 crew have been released by Nigerian gunmen following their December kidnapping, but one seafarer died shortly after being captured.
The company and V.Ships said in a statement the men were freed by the pirate gang on Sunday.
They were abducted from the 19,100-dwt chemical tanker Duke (built 2003) on 15 December.
