As TradeWinds has reported, French energy major GDF Suez willsub-charter the 145,000-cbm GDF Suez Cape Ann (built 2010) to China NationalOffshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) for a five year period.
Hoegh will operate the vessel which will be permanentlymoored off Nanjiang Port in Tianjin City.
Sveinung Stohle, CEO, told TradeWinds that the sub-charterwith CNOOC will not alter the terms of its original 20-year contract with GDFSuez, however he hopes the deal would give it first mover advantage in a marketwhich is expected to see rising demand for FSRUs.
