Japan’s Fukujin Shipping is offloading an 11-year-old tanker to clients of a Greek company as it awaits delivery of two scrubber-equipped newbuildings.
Shipmanagement sources in Athens said the Japanese outfit has agreed to sell the 47,500-dwt medium-range-two (MR2) tanker Freja Baltic (built 2008) to Piraeus-based Spring Marine Management at a price of $16.1m. It is the company's oldest vessel.
