India's Essar Shipping is targeting a fleet renewal in the sale and purchase market.
The company said directors will meet on Thursday to approve a policy of selling older ships and buying younger ones.
It gave no further details, however.
The owner has a VLCC constructed in 2005, plus 12 mostly modern bulkers. Four of them however were built in the 1980s and 1990s.
