An Eitzen-owned gas carrier survived a pirate attack off Somalia on Tuesday which involved a hijacked mothership.
Naval assets came to the aid of the 10,281-cbm Sigloo Star (built 1987) during the assault near the Gulf of Aden, TradeWinds has learned.
There is not believed to be any damage to the Malta-flagged vessel while there are no reports of injuries to the unspecified number of crew.
