Swedish shipowner Donso Shipping is aiming to cut costs on two new tankers by fitting engine cooling systems.

Norwegian technology company Hydroniq Coolers is supplying hull-integrated seawater kits to the vessels being built at Wuhu Shipyard in China.

The 22,000-dwt ships are due for delivery in 2021.

The vessels are designed by FKAB, based on a low-resistance hull design.

“The cooling principle of the Rack cooler secures safe, continuous and maintenance-friendly cooling of the equipment on board the vessel in addition to being very energy efficient.
