A well placed source says 309,300-dwt DHT Ann(ex-Overseas Ann, built 2001) was pulled upon the conclusion of a charter between DHT and its former parent, which continues to be one of the most prominent members of the pool.
Previously, the vessel had been earning $38,500 per day with the bankrupt US operator, which is well above the $26,000 average that similar units are fetching in today’s spot market when hired for voyages from the Middle East to Asia, shipbrokers say.
