A Middle Eastern-owned tanker turned to the Russian oil trade after being exposed for transferring Iranian crude to a ship owned by Chinese tanker giant Cosco Shipping Energy Transportation (CSET), it can be revealed.
Cosco ended its business with the charterer of the 105,900-dwt Afra Crown (built 2003) after it discovered that papers about the origin of the cargo had been forged, according to documents seen by TradeWinds.
