BP Shipping has penned a one-year contract for the 47,834-dwtchemical product tanker Avax (built 2007) starting this month.
The UK-based shipowner is paying $14,750 per day until Mayand $14,800 daily up until October 2014, Evangelos Marinakis-controlled CPLPannounced today.
BP has the option to keep the vessel for a further year atthe higher rate of $15,600 per day.
