One of the main problems that I would seek to fix in the shipping industry is labour shortages and employee welfare on board and on shore (in ports, etc).
In order to help fix this problem, I would focus on greater collaboration amongst the main stakeholders in the industry which would produce higher standards and a more desirable work environment for workers and seafarers.
