Lithuania's Western Shipyard is continuing to plough money into improving its facilities.

The BLRT-controlled yard has spent EUR 19m ($21m) this year on technological upgrades and expansion, the BNS agency reported.

The cash has gone on a modern cutting line and shiprepair facilities, as well as a robotic welding line.

This will be launched at the end of the year, replacing 26 workers, who will be redeployed elsewhere.
