Taiwan’s U-Ming Marine Transport has been tipped to win the first round of charter contracts from Anglo American in the UK miner's efforts to build a fleet of LNG-fuelled capesize bulkers.
Several shipping sources said London-based Anglo American has picked U-Ming over six other shipping companies to own four of the 187,000-dwt bulkers that will be built at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS).
