U-Ming Marine Transport's latest ship order is part of an effort to put itself at the leading edge of what it believes will be a wave of demand from charterers for LNG-fuelled bulkers, company president CK Ong has said.
As TradeWinds reported on Tuesday, the Taiwanese shipowner has finalised shipbuilding contracts for four dual-fuelled, 190,000-dwt bulker newbuildings, ordered against a 10-year charter to mining giant Anglo American.
