Trader Trafigura is boosting its orderbook for LPG-fuelled midsize gas carriers by signing up for two more vessels at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) in South Korea.
Shipbuilding sources said the Geneva-headquartered outfit has exercised options for two 40,000-cbm vessels at the yard, bringing its total spending on dual-fuel midsize gas carrier newbuildings to $210m.
The company secured the options last year when it ordered two sisterships at the Ulsan-based shipyard.
