A South Korean court has decided to offer STX Offshore & Shipbuilding and its STX France unit as a package or separately over the next two weeks.
Bidders have to submit offers by 4 November, Dow Jones reported.
"They can bid for the firms in a bundle or individually," said Seoul central district court judge Choi Ung-young, contradicting earlier statements that only a group purchase would be possible.
