Russia’s Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard is hoping to land contracts to renew the cargo ship fleet of Moscow ally Belarus.
The Nizhny Novgorod-based shipbuilder’s director general Mikhail Pershin wrote on Telegram that the yard may be tasked with building river-sea vessels.
The boss revealed that Nizhny Novgorod governor Gleb Nikitin had discussed potential transport projects with Belorusian partners on 1 December.
