Japanese shipbuilder Naikai Zosen has won a series of orders for handysize bulk carriers for delivery from 2025.
It is understood local owners are behind the contracts, which mark a return to building bulk carriers for Naikai after an absence from that market of nine years.
The Hiroshima-based shipbuilder has more recently been focused on building ro-ro passenger ships and feeder container ships.
