State-owned Oman Drydock Company (ODC) is planning to set up a mobile ship repair unit to reach vessels in distress.
The facility will also help ships that don't need repairs in drydock.
The "Port Repair & On-Voyage Services" unit will be equipped to respond to requests for technical assistance at any of Oman's commercial ports at Suhar, Muscat and Salalah, the Oman Observer reported.
