Fincantieri's CEO has said he is confident about the acquisition of STX France.
Giuseppe Bono told La Stampa daily that he feels the move is valid and will create value for both his group and the French shipbuilder.
He added he was ready for more talks with the French government if needed.
Last week, Italy hit back at French resistance to Fincantieri's takeover.
