Monday was a momentous day at Pasir Gudang-based Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) as the ship repair group welcomed the first vessel into its giant new drydock.
The new 400,000-dwt facility is expected to help turn around the ship repair and offshore fabrication group’s mixed fortunes stemming from the moribund offshore sector and stiff competition from yards in neighbouring Singapore.
