Unionised subcontractors at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering have ended a labour strike that started in early June after accepting a much smaller wage hike than demanded, and job guarantees.
Local news agencies reported that union officials have accepted a 4.5% wage increase along with KRW 500,000 ($382) in additional pay for working on holidays and a KRW 400,000 summer vacation bonus.
