The Singapore-listed shipbuilder will build the 4,000-dwtvessel to its PSV 1 08 design at its Vung Tau yard in Vietnam.
Handover of the 81 metre vessel is scheduled for the fourthquarter of 2014.
Fincantieri-controlled Vard says the unit will be equipped forstandby, rescue, firefighting and oil recovery operations.
No value was put on the deal.
Last month Vard was contracted by compatriot Farstad for onesubsea vessel and also won a deal to build four PLSVs for a Dof/Technip jointventure.
