The South Korean shipbuilder has bagged contracts for 11 LNGcarriers this year including one LNG-FSRU, it revealed today.
The tally represents just over two fifths of the 26 LNGcarriers ordered globally in 2013, making SHI the top choice yard for owners.
Total orders have reached $10.7bn year-to-date, which is82% of its annual order target of $13bn.
GasLog agreed to pay $200m apiece for the two 174,000-cbmcarriers confirmed by the yard last week.
