China’s Jiangsu Eastern Shipyard has won the race to build four bulker for Shipping Corp of India (SCI) which finally put pen to paper on the long-mooted contract.
The Mumbai-based owner has, however, remained mum on much of the detail of the deal, shying away from naming a contract price or delivery dates.
The shipbuilder is to contract a quartet of 80,000-dwt units for state-backed SCI, the Indian owner wrote in a very brief announcement to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday.
