In a stock exchange filing today the Korean shipbuilder announceda contract worth KRW 470bn ($422m) with an unnamed Asian client for delivery inDecember 2015.
Though it gave no further details the huge $140m price tag pership suggests an order for 18,000-teu containerships.
The order chimes with a deal placed at DSME by Hong KongAsset Management (HKAM) last month.
However those three 18,000-teu vessels were set for deliveryin July 2015 suggesting today’s announcement is a fresh order.
