Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has set its sights on fresh orders totalling $11bn next year.
This would, however, represent a slight drop on orders received at the South Korean shipbuilding giant in 2010.
Nevertheless the ambitious target is another signal that many shipping markets are back on track after the financial crisis with increased ordering likely in the offshore and container sectors.
