Simeon Palios-led Diana is paying Compania Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) $47m apiece for the 6,500-teuPuelo and Pucon (both built 2006).
Upon delivery by the end ofAugust and mid-September respectively, CSAV will hire both vessel forbetween 18 and 30 months at a gross daily rate of $27,900 apiece.
A penalty of $6000 per day is due for early or lateredelivery of either vessel, Diana said in astatement.
