The yard will build two 1,450-teu ships for an unnamedowner, it announced today.
No price for the contract was revealed.
When in LNG mode the duel fuel ships will cost four to fivetimes lower per mile than similar ships running on fuel oil, Brodosplit said.
They will also emit between 30 and 50 times less emissions.
Brodosplit will build both the engines and special LNG fuel tanks at its facilities.
