Greek LPG owner Naftomar appears to be renewing its fleet, buying a 12-year-old VLGC from BP.
Norwegian gas carrier shipbrokers said Naftomar acquired the 83,000-cbm British Courage (built 2006) for $38m to $39m.
Naftomar and BP did not respond to requests for comment.
The price is seen as a reflection of pressure on VLGC values, especially for vessels that are more than 10 years old.
