The Swiss-based owner has yet to takedelivery of the 82,000-dwt Pieter Schelte which is under construction at South Korea’s DSME at a costof EUR 1.3bn ($1.7bn).
The ship will be the largest of its kindwhen it hits the water next year but its record will only stand until 2020.
That is when Edward Heerema-led Allseas willtake delivery of a vessel that has the capacity to lift platform topsides 50%heavier that the Pieter Schelte.
