Spanish rescuers have taken 22 crew members off a Cido Shipping ro-ro suffering a severe list off the country’s coast.
The Spanish Maritime Safety Agency said the 3,340-ceu pure car carrier Modern Express (built 2001) was suffering a 40-degree list at the time of the rescue.
The agency said the Panama-flagged ship issued a distress call while it was 148 miles (238 kilometres) from Cape Ortegal, off Spain’s northwest coast.
