A BW Group chemical and products tanker has been targeted by armed robbers while anchored in the South China Sea.
The incident aboard the 50,000-dwt BW Myna (built 2015) took place on Saturday at around 05:30 in position in position 1° 27.2' N, 104° 38.4' E.
While at anchor, the ship’s duty officer discovered a hook with a rope secured on the ship’s railing at the starboard quarter and a small boat hiding beneath the curvature.
