A Navigator Gas vessel has been involved in a shipboard fire in the Houston Ship Channel, the US Coast Guard (USCG) reports.
The incident aboard the 21,000-cbm Navigator Europa (built 2014) is said to have closed the upper part of the Houston Ship Channel.
A two mile stretch of the vital US waterway from light 164 to light 151 near Greensport Dock West is said to have been affected.
