An Alassia Newships Management bulker was involved in a collision with a small sand carrier in Argentina's Parana River, but a closure of the waterway was quickly resolved.
Alpemar Shipping Agency said today that the 80,600-dwt Macheras (built 2015) was involved in the casualty with a sand dredger called the Iris on Friday.
Local media reports indicate that the collision was followed by a search for a missing crew member from the Iris.
