A Greek bulker with 21 Filipino crew which has been held for six months off Somalia has been freed.
A ransom was paid to free the 47,200-dwt VOC Daisy (built 1998) on Sunday morning, its owner confirmed to TradeWinds.
All the crew are well and were not mistreated during the half-year-long ordeal, Athanasios Glyptis, operations manager at Samartzis Maritime Enterprises, said.
