One crew member of a Beluga Shipping vessel hijacked a week ago has been executed by pirates following a botched rescue attempt.
Two further seamen from the 9,775-dwt Beluga Nomination are missing after the Seychelles Coast Guard opened fire on the vessel on Wednesday.
The developments come after the dramatic rescue by a Danish warship of two of the ship's original crew of 12 following an attempt by the crew to overthrown their captors.
