Almost $165m in embargoed Libyan currency onboard a German ship saw authorities swoop on a consignment at a UK port this week.
The currency was taken off the 375-lane-metre ro-ro Sloman Provider at Harwich port on Wednesday but, contrary to some reports of the incident, the ship was not forced into the port.
The 2000-built vessel, which is owned and operated by Sloman Neptun Schiffahrts of Bremen, runs a regular service between the UK, northern Europe and North Africa.
