California’s two major container ports have reported diverging container throughput volumes for a second month.
Los Angeles, the largest container port in the Americas, saw volumes jump 5.5% to 731,352-teu helped by a strong surge in empty containers.
Inbound containers were up 2.7% from 360,969-teu a year ago to 370,721-teu. Outbound containers were largely unchanged at 185,107-teu.
