The HRA, as defined by the latest edition of Best Management Practices for Protection against Somali Based Piracy (BMP4), will now have an eastern limit of 065°E, while the southern limit is reduced to 5°S. It will now only stretch to 15°N in the Red Sea and 22°N in the Gulf of Oman.
The move is said to have the support of the International Group of P&I Clubs.
