Odfjell’s Russian wrangle is not yet over as a shipbuilder over which the owner recently scored a court victory has launched an appeal.
Sevmash shipyard is fighting the decision a fortnight ago by a compatriot court to award in favour of the Norwegian owner to the tune of some $47m over the axing of tanker newbuildings.
On 10 December a state commercial court in Arkhangelsk upheld an earlier arbitration ruling in Sweden which handed Odfjell victory over the cancellation of up to a dozen 45,000-dwt products tankers in 2004.
