Vroon Offshore Services is to scrap three platform supply vessels aged between 13 and 14 years due to the continued depressed offshore market.
The Dutch owner said it is sending the 2,810-gt VOS Power and VOS Producer (both built 2006) and the VOS Prominence (built 2007) for recycling with the aim of “right-sizing” its PSV fleet.
All three vessels, which were built at China’s Jiangsu Zhenjiang, are said to have been laid-up for some time in the north of the Netherlands.
