Shipowner Mitsui OSK Lines has completed its acquisition of Norwegian-owned open-hatch bulker specialist Gearbulk Holding, the company announced on 21 January.
The giant Japanese shipowner said the purchase has “obtained approval from relevant authorities under competition law”.
MOL now owns 72% of Gearbulk with the remaining 28% stake held by trader Marubeni.
