Oystein Spetalen’s Standard Drilling has added a pair of PSVs to its fleet in a $22.2m swoop that continues its growth story.
Oslo-listed Standard is buying the 4,100-dwt ER Athina (built 2009) and 4,800-dwt ER Georgina (built 2010) from Hamburg-based ER Offshore, taking its fleet to 18 vessels.
Chairman Martin Nes says the $11.1m per ship price is 81% below the $57m each the vessels cost as newbuildings.
