The Brazilian oil company is keeping the 148-tbp Normand Drott (built1984) for another four years from November 2013 after a scheduleddrydocking.
Oslo-listed Solstad will pocket NOK 330m ($55.8m) for thedeal for the vessel which has been with Petrobras since 2009.
Nine of Solstad’s 49 vessels operate in Brazilian waters.
