Offshore vessel shares were leading falling US-listed maritime stocks on Wednesday, with the three top names losing more than 10%.

GulfMark shares slumped 15.2% in afternoon trading, bringing the price to $1.95 on the New York Stock Exchange.

Rival Tidewater lost 13.1% and Hornbeck Offshore Services posted a 10.4% decline.

The shares had been surging in recent days on as Opec's decision to cut production boost oil market sentiment, as did agreements with nations outside of the carte.
