Nordic American Offshore chief executive Tor-Oyvind Bjorkli has submitted his resignation.
The New York-listed offshore vessel owner said the executive, who it also describes as its managing director, is departing "on excellent terms and with best wishes".
The company did not disclose the reason for his departure, and two executives at NAO could not be immediately reached to explain the situation.
