Nam Cheong Ltd says its application for a scheme of arrangement has been granted by the Singapore High Court.
Under the scheme, the financially troubled Malaysian company will be protected from creditors for an initial period of six months.
Nam Cheong said that as a consequence no receiver or manager can be appointed, no action or proceedings can be commenced against the company and no steps can be taken to enforce any security over its properties or assets.
