Dutch maritime design company Marin is testing new “crash barriers” to prevent vessels hitting offshore wind turbines.
It is working on three “innovative” structures as a result of an accident in January in which a drifting bulker hit a transformer platform and turbine foundation at the Hollandse Kust Zuid wind farm off the Netherlands.
